Zagreb: A seven-year-old girl was killed and eight others, including a teacher, were injured, many of whom are in critical condition, in a knife attack at a primary school in Zagreb, Croatia. The attacker, identified as 19-year-old Preko, a former student of the school, barged into a first-grade classroom on Friday morning and began the knife attack, CNN reported.

The teacher's condition remains critical

A teacher suffered life-threatening injuries in the attack and injured students are being treated in hospitals across the city. Officials confirmed that the teacher remains in critical condition. According to CNN, Zagreb police said the attacker is in police custody. The injured are being treated.

Three of the five students were reported to have non-serious injuries
