Washington: Even before the newly elected US President Donald Trump takes power, a diplomatic storm has created a stir. Trump's eyes are set on Greenland, Panama City and the Gulf of Mexico. He has also given an open offer to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to make Canada the 51st state of America. Now he said on Tuesday that he will change the name of 'Gulf of Mexico' to 'Gulf of America'. Trump said that it is appropriate to do so.

Trump's statement has created a stir in many countries. Trump told reporters at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, "We are going to change the name of 'Gulf of Mexico' to 'Gulf of America'. 'Gulf of America' is such a nice name, isn't it?" Trump said, "That is right." However, he did not give any time limit for this. But his announcement has shocked many countries.

Republican Party will introduce the bill

The Republican Party MP from Georgia welcomed this move and said that she would soon introduce a bill in this regard in the Congress (US Parliament). Congress member Marjorie Taylor Green said in a post on the social media platform 'X', "This is a great start to President Trump's second term. I will soon introduce a bill to officially change the name of 'Gulf of Mexico' to its correct name 'Gulf of America.
