Education: Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University successfully organized one one-day International Seminar on 11th November 2024. This seminar was organized by the Institute of Pharmacy and the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in collaboration with the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) on the topic “Advanced research methodology in neuroscience”.

This seminar was conducted under the mentorship of Er. Pankaj Agarwal (Chancellor), Er. Pooja Agarwal, (Pro-Chancellor) Ms. Arrushi Agarwal (Advisor SRMU), Dr. Vikas Misra, (Vice-Chancellor) SRMU), Dr. Neerja Jindal, (Registrar) and under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Manju Pandey (Director, Institute of pharmacy) & Prof. Dr. Amit Kumar (Director Institute of pharmaceutical sciences SRMU).

The inaugural ceremony of the seminar was commenced with lamp lightening by esteemed dignitaries Dr. Lokesh Agarwal, Dr. Narendra Kumar, and Dr. Abha Sharma along with the Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, and Directors of the Institutes. The program progressed with the welcome address of speakers and the further conduction of a scientific session.

The scientific session was conducted by keynote speakers Dr. Lokesh Agarwal Founder and Managing Director of SND Regenic Pvt. Ltd, Innovation and Incubation Centre Japan, and Dr. Narendra Kumar, Scientist CBMR Lucknow, Dr. Abha Sharma (Associate Professor) Department of pharmaceutical Chemistry, NIPER Raebareli.

In this session Dr. Lokesh Agarwal said that Neurological disorders are a leading cause of ill-health globally. Recently more than one in three people are affected by a neurological conditions globally. Neurological disorders are medically defined as disorders that affect the brain as well as the nerves found throughout the human body.

Dr. Narendra Kumar discussed about the awareness of neurodegenerative diseases in our society because neurological conditions cause great suffering to the individuals and their  families.

Dr. Abha Sharma also discussed why these disorders develops, what are their causes and how we can overcome and reduce the frequency of these disorders and protect ourself.

More than thirty academic institutes, ten Universities, across India with over thousand participants attended the international seminar. 

In this seminar Co-convenors Dr. Zeba Siddiqui, Ms. Sarita Singh, Mr. Neeraj Kumar Singh, Mr. Ajeet Singh and other faculty members of IOP & IOPS and staff helped in the successful execution of the seminar. 

Director (IOP) Prof. (Dr.) Manju Pandey gave special thanks to the management of SRMU, Keynote speakers, organizing team and faculty members for the smooth conduction of  International Seminar.
