National: A major accident was narrowly averted in Gaya district of Bihar. Here a goods train suddenly derailed. It is being told that this goods train was carrying coal from Dhanbad to Barh Thermal Power Plant. During this time, the goods train derailed near Rasalpur Gumti near Manpur railway station on Gaya-Dhanbad railway line. A video of the incident has also surfaced. At the time when the goods train derailed, many people were present at the railway crossing. The people standing there made a video of the goods train derailment, which is now becoming increasingly viral on social media.

10 wagons derailed

Now, after the derailment of the goods train, the operation of passenger, mail and express trains has been affected at different railway stations of Gaya-Dhanbad railway section. In this accident, 10 wagons of the goods train derailed. During the incident, there was a stampede among the passengers present at the Rasulpur railway gate. After this accident, railway officials reached the spot and the derailed bogies were removed with the help of a crane. After this, repair work is being done. Due to the accident near Gumti, the Gaya-Nawada main road got jammed and traffic got affected.

Railway officials who reached the spot are busy in bringing the derailed goods train back on track. Officials from Gaya to Manpur and other railway stations have also reached the spot and are busy investigating the matter. Meanwhile, accident relief vehicles from Ara and Danapur have reached the spot. At present, work is being done to repair the derailed goods train and restore the operations. 

Freight train split into two parts

It is being told that the goods train carrying coal and going towards Barh Thermal Power Plant was stopped at Bandhua railway station. When it got the signal, the goods train started and the accident happened after covering a distance of five kilometers between the corridor track Budhi Paimar station. According to eyewitnesses, the train was not moving at a high speed. This did not cause much damage. Despite this, only one bogie remained attached to the goods train engine and leaving the other bogies, the train split into two parts
