New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has quashed the FIR registered against a man and his two sons accused of molesting and hurting a woman. Cancelling the FIR, the court said that the families have resolved the dispute by mutual consent. Along with this, the court has also directed each accused to plant 50-50 neem trees. After talking to the parties, the court said that they have confirmed that the matters were resolved by mutual consent without any threat, pressure or coercion and they have no objection to the cancellation of the FIR. Let us tell you that the dispute between them started over family issues. 

The three accused will plant 50 saplings each

Justice Anoop Kumar Mendiratta said, "Considering the facts and circumstances, instead of imposing a fine on the petitioners, they are directed to plant 50-50 neem trees up to a height of three feet in the Chhawla police station area after contacting the competent authority." He said that in case of non-compliance of the instructions to plant trees, a fine of Rs 50,000 each will be imposed on the petitioner. The High Court was hearing their petition requesting quashing of the FIR against the accused and his two sons. This FIR was registered in 2015 for various alleged crimes including molestation, causing injury and theft. 

There were allegations of assault and molestation

Let us tell you that the complainant woman had alleged that the said person and his two sons had beaten up her husband and a relative and also misbehaved with her by insulting her dignity. The woman and the accused are relatives. The petitioners had said that a dispute arose between them over family issues which was resolved through mediation and the wife of one of the petitioners also lodged an FIR against the complainant which has been quashed by the High Court. Cancelling the FIR, the High Court said that both the parties want to close the court proceedings and the settlement will promote harmony between them and help them move forward in life.
