Protests have erupted in many parts of the state after the alleged sexual abuse of two girls at a school in Badlapur near Mumbai. A school employee has been arrested in this case.

'CCTV footage should be checked at least three times a week'

The order said, "All private schools in the state are required to follow the new guidelines of the department, under which it is mandatory to install CCTV cameras at appropriate places in the school premises. Failure to comply may result in action like stopping financial grants or cancellation of the school's operating permit."

The order states that the CCTV footage must be checked at least three times a week and if any worrying incident is recorded in the camera, it will be the responsibility of the principal to contact the police.
