MPSC said in a post on X, "In the meeting of the Commission held today, it was decided to postpone the Maharashtra Gazetted Civil Services Combined Preliminary Examination 2024 to be held on 25th August 2024. The date of examination will be announced soon."

The date was changed for the third time

The commission has changed the date of MPSC exam for the third time. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be held on July 21, which was later rescheduled for August 25. Now, the examination authority has again postponed the exam. The decision to postpone the exam has been taken following the demand of candidates who protested outside Ahilya Library in Navi Peth, Pune on Tuesday, August 20.

The candidates protested

MPSC candidates in Pune have been protesting since Tuesday night, demanding the postponement of the upcoming MPSC exam scheduled on August 25. The reason behind this demand is that the exam date of MPSC CSE is clashing with the IBPS Clerk exam, creating a conflict situation for candidates appearing for both exams. Apart from this, they are demanding the Agriculture Department to include 258 posts in the MPSC exam.
