National: A heinous and shameful incident has come to light from Tamil Nadu's capital Chennai. Chennai Police said that a 45-year-old man has been arrested for sexually abusing his six-month-old daughter in Pulianthope. The man has been charged under the POCSO Act.

Police said that the accused lived with his wife and six-month-old daughter in Pulianthope. Actually, on Friday, the girl suffered a head injury, after which her mother took her to the Government Child Health and Wellness Hospital in Egmore.

During the examination, wounds were found on the girl's private parts

When the doctors examined the girl, they found wounds on her private parts. After this, the doctors informed the Child Welfare Committee officials about this. After investigation, the officials lodged a complaint with the Pulianthope police.

Confessed the crime after rigorous interrogation

Police said that initially the accused denied committing the rape, but after rigorous interrogation he broke down and confessed his crime. The accused has been sent to judicial custody.
