National: Environment Minister in Delhi Government, Gopal Rai addressed a press conference on pollution in the national capital on Sunday. He said that the aim of CM Arvind Kejriwal government is to reduce pollution in Delhi. For this, we have appealed to the central government for cooperation. A letter has also been written to the Union Environment Minister. 

He said, "If I need to appeal to the central government 100 times for cooperation in reducing pollution in the interest of the people of Delhi, I will do so." A letter has also been written to the central government for artificial rain. The attitude of BJP leaders on this is surprising. BJP leaders say that you should find a solution to this problem yourself. Why do you write a letter to the center?

'I have been waiting for the Union Minister's reply for five years'

He said that only Punjab has an Aam Aadmi Party government. In all other states neighbouring Delhi, there are BJP governments. We have first discussed this issue with the Punjab government. 

'Everyone's cooperation is needed to reduce pollution'

Expressing disappointment over the Centre's stance, he said that for the last five years, I have been seeking time to meet the BJP's Union Environment Minister. Despite writing letters repeatedly, leave aside the demand for a meeting, he has not even replied to the letter yet. If the Centre continues with this attitude, how will pollution in Delhi be reduced? Everyone's cooperation is necessary to reduce air pollution in Delhi. Till now, I have not got time from the Union Minister to improve the level of pollution in Delhi.
