National: Abdul Samad alias Saddam, brother-in-law of mafia Atiq Ahmed's brother Ashraf, has got relief from Allahabad High Court. The High Court has approved Saddam's conditional bail plea. On Tuesday, a single bench of Justice Sameer Jain approved the bail plea. A complaint was filed against Saddam in Bareilly's Baradari police station in a case of fraud.

A person named Mohammad Haseen had lodged an FIR against Saddam, brother-in-law of Atiq Ahmed's brother Ashraf, in Bareilly under various sections including fraud. It is alleged that Saddam was living on rent in his house by telling his name as Mushtaq. When Haseen asked Saddam for the house rent, Mushtaq refused to pay it and threatened him by telling him his real name as Saddam.

In his complaint, Mohammad Haseen said that when he asked Saddam for
house rent, he refused and told him that his real name was Saddam. Along with this, he threatened him that if he tried to ask for rent from him again, he would kill him.

He said that after a few days Saddam escaped with the bag kept in the room, which contained 50 thousand rupees, Aadhar card and bank passbook. Petitioner Abdul Samad alias Saddam is in jail since 19 February 2024. Saddam has also been made an accused in the famous Umesh Pal shootout case of Prayagraj. After which he is lodged in Badaun jail of UP.

When Atiq Ahmed's brother Ashraf was in Bareilly jail, his brother-in-law Saddam used to handle all of Ashraf's work. His role in the Umesh Pal murder case also came to light. After which the police arrested him. Saddam may have got bail from the court in this fraud case, but still he will not be able to come out of jail.
