However, now by-elections are going to be held here after the assembly seat becomes vacant, but the dates for the assembly by-elections have not been announced yet. In such a situation, all the political parties are showing strong strength in the assembly by-elections.

On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ally 'Nirbal Indian Shoshit Hamara Aam Dal' (NISHAD) on Friday announced that its party will field candidates on its election symbol in the by-elections on Katehari and Majhawan assembly seats in the state. This information was given in a statement issued by the party. According to the statement, on the occasion of the ninth foundation day of the Nishad Party, the party's national president and fisheries minister of the Uttar Pradesh government Sanjay Nishad in his address at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan here said that the party had contested on its election symbol in the 2022 assembly elections on Katehari (Ambedkar Nagar district) and Majhawan (Mirzapur district) seats and in the upcoming by-elections too, the Nishad Party will field candidates on its election symbol on both the seats.
