The domestic stock market started the session strongly on Tuesday. As soon as the market opened at 9:15 am, the benchmark Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) was seen trading at the level of 75,768.62 with a huge gain of 402.45 points. Similarly, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading at the level of 22,933.80 with a gain of 104.65 points. Apart from this, Nifty Bank was also seen trading at the level of 48,471.90 points with an increase of 407.25 points.

Top gainer and top loser stocks

At the start of trading, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, Infosys, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank emerged as the top gainers. On the other hand, the top losers included UltraTech Cement, PowerGrid, NTPC, M&M and Sun Pharma. Top gainer stocks in the Nifty 50 were Shriram Finance, Wipro, Axis Bank, Infosys and HDFC Bank. On the other hand, the top losers were Sun Pharma, Dr Reddy's, Cipla, M&M and Grasim.

In today's trading session, the Nifty Midcap 100 opened 212.85 points higher at 52,008.75. Similarly, the Nifty Midcap 50 opened 46.80 points higher at 14,473.85. The Nifty Smallcap 50 was trading 11.40 points higher at 7,789.30.

Today's situation in Asian market

The S&P 500 fell 1.5% in Asian markets today, led by a 16.9% drop in Nvidia. Other big tech stocks also suffered heavy losses, dragging the Nasdaq Composite down 3.1% for its worst loss in more than a month. The losses were concentrated in AI-related stocks, while the rest of the market fared much better. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 289 points, or 0.7%, and most U.S. stocks rose, AP reported.
U.S. equity futures were little changed on Tuesday morning after Monday's sell-off. Treasuries fell in Asia and the 10-year yield rose one basis point to 4.55% after falling nine basis points on Monday. The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index rose 0.3%, extending Monday's gains.
