NEET UG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made changes in the exam pattern of NEET UG 2025 exam. NTA has also released a notice regarding clarification on NEET Exam 2025 question paper pattern and exam duration. Candidates can check the notice issued by visiting the official website. According to the notice issued, the optional questions previously included in Section B have been removed, bringing the format of the exam back to its original structure before the pandemic. As per the pre-Covid format, there will be no Section B now.
NEET UG 2025: Question Paper Pattern
You can understand this through the points given below.
- There will be total 180 compulsory questions.
- There will be 45-45 questions in Physics and Chemistry.
- 90 questions will be asked from Biology.
- The provision of optional questions introduced temporarily during the COVID-19 pandemic will no longer be available.
- The total duration of the exam will be 180 minutes (3 hours).

Earlier, NTA had issued an important notice regarding APAAR ID. According to the notice, APAAR ID is not mandatory for NEET UG 2025 registration and NEET (UG)-2025 will be conducted in pen and paper mode (OMR-based) on the same day and in a single shift.
