Virat Kohli Set To Play In Ranji Trophy: Indian team's star batsman Virat Kohli proved to be a big flop in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia and it became difficult for him to score runs. He scored a century in the first match but after that his form went away and he longed to stay at the crease, let alone scoring runs. In the series, he got out on most occasions while playing a stroke on the off stump ball. After India lost the series 1-3 in Australia, BCCI has made it mandatory for its contracted cricketers to play domestic cricket if they do not have any fitness related issues. Now Kohli is ready to play in the Ranji Trophy. 

The last Ranji Trophy match was played in the year 2012 

Virat Kohli has also got a chance in the Indian team squad before the Champions Trophy 2025. Now before this big tournament, he would like to gain rhythm by playing in the Ranji Trophy. The special thing is that he has made himself available for Delhi's match against Railways from January 30. This match will be played on the Delhi ground itself. Which is also his home ground. He played a Ranji Trophy match for Delhi against Uttar Pradesh in the year 2012. 

Will not be able to play match against Saurashtra

Virat Kohli will not be able to play in Delhi's upcoming match against Saurashtra starting January 23 due to a neck strain but he has informed the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) that he will be available to play in the team's last league match of the Ranji Trophy. Delhi head coach Sarandeep Singh told PTI that Virat has informed the DDCA president (Rohan Jaitley) and the team management that he is available for the match against Railways.

Virat Kohli is counted among the great players of India. His technique and class are amazing. Once he settles in at the crease, he plays a big innings.
