Sports: There are only question marks ahead of the Champions Trophy (ICC Champions Trophy 2025). Even though the date of the tournament has been decided, it is not yet confirmed whether Team India will tour Pakistan for the Champions Trophy or not. Jay Shah, who took over the responsibility of BCCI Secretary, has become the Chairman of ICC. In such a situation, it may be very difficult for him to resolve the matter of Champions Trophy.

Jay Shah will take over as ICC chairman from December 1. It is yet to be decided whether Team India will go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy after Jay Shah becomes ICC chairman. However, meanwhile, a BCCI official revealed that it is not in their hands. The government will decide this. The official also said that this will be a difficult task for Jay Shah.

Speaking to 'InsideSports', a BCCI official said, "There has been no discussion regarding the Champions Trophy. Our stand is clear. We will do what the government says. I can understand that this will be a difficult task for Jay Shah as he will be the ICC chief. But he understands the concern and we hope that India's matches will be shifted to a neutral venue. As ICC chief, he will have to change the stance of his father or the government."

The official further said, "Look, it will be difficult for the ICC to conduct the tournament without India. We want the event to go on. It is good for cricket, but the stand is clear. We have already asked the ICC to consider shifting India's matches to a neutral venue while keeping Pakistan as the host. If we do not get the green signal from the Indian government, we will continue to do so."
