President Draupadi Murmu gave the Prime Minister National Bal Puraskar to 17 children in 7 categories on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas. In her address, the President lauded the achievements of Aneesh Sarkar from Kolkata, who is the youngest child to receive the award in the playschool and nursery age group. She said that with his achievements, Aneesh has become the youngest award winner in the world.

President Draupadi Murmu further said, "The spirit of patriotism leads children on the path of dedication to national interest. I believe that the achievements of children now will take India to the pinnacle of progress. Giving opportunities and respecting the talent of children has been a part of our tradition.
