The Indian stock market opened with gains on Wednesday. The Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex opened at 76,900 with a gain of 401 points today. Sensex also saw a rise in the early trade. It was seen trading at 76,760, up 0.33 percent or 261 points. In the early trade, out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 22 were in the green and 8 were in the red. The National Stock Exchange index Nifty was seen trading at 23,250 with a gain of 0.32 percent or 74 points. Out of the 50 Nifty stocks, 43 were in the green, 4 were in the red and 4 were unchanged.

Condition of Nifty shares

Among the Nifty pack stocks, Maruti witnessed the highest gain of 2.80%, Bajaj Auto 1.95%, NTPC 1.84%, BPCL 1.76% and Indusind Bank 1.67%. On the other hand, Shriram Finance witnessed the highest decline of 2.35%, Bajaj Finserv 1.72%, Dr. Reddy 1.50%, Tata Consumer 1.45% and Bajaj Finance 1.40%.

Status of sectoral indices

Talking about sectoral indices, the biggest decline was seen in Nifty Midsmall Healthcare by 1.71 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Healthcare Index fell by 1.70 percent, Nifty Bank by 0.12 percent, Nifty Financial Services by 0.41 percent, Nifty FMCG by 0.28 percent, Nifty Media by 0.62 percent, Nifty PSU Bank by 0.32 percent, Nifty Private Bank by 0.18 percent, Nifty Realty by 0.53 percent, Nifty Consumer Durables by 0.62 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Auto rose by 0.23 percent, Nifty IT by 0.13 percent, Nifty Metal by 0.21 percent, and Nifty Oil & Gas by 0.44 percent.
