Railway Recruitment Board i.e. RRB has issued a very important notice regarding caste certificate for the candidates applying for ALP, RPF, JE, SI and other recruitment exams from Bihar. According to the notice issued, candidates who have mentioned the community as Scheduled Caste in the online application form but belong to specific castes, have to send the latest community and caste certificate through e-mail.

This will apply to candidates who are originally from PAN/Sawasi/PANRR/Tanti-Tawa caste, are from Bihar or have migrated (temporarily/permanently). They will have to submit a self-attested scanned copy of their latest caste certificate issued on or after December 1, 2024. The instructions given by the RRB are as follows-

• The scanned copy should be in PDF format and should be sent only through the email ID used during the online application process.
• The email should also contain the application registration number, name of the applicant, registered mobile number, CEN number, old community and caste and revised community and caste.
• The last date for sending documents and details through email is February 10 (11:59 pm).
• After submitting the latest caste and community certificate, they will be considered for further stages as per the revised caste/community.
• Those who do not submit the certificate will be shortlisted for further stages as per the community (SC) mentioned in the online application.

RRB said, “These candidates must compulsorily bring the fresh caste certificate issued on or after 01.12.2024 at the time of document verification as well as the old caste/community certificate which was issued before the last date of submission of online application.”

It added, "The caste certificate for the period between the last date of submission of application will be scrutinised with respect to the fresh caste certificate issued on or after 01.12.2024. If any discrepancy is found in both the certificates, his/her candidature will be considered under unreserved category provided the candidate fulfils the conditions applicable for the entire cycle of recruitment."
