News of the death of a student has come to light from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. According to the information received, a student here was found dead in his hostel. The deceased Shaun Malik was a third year student of Electrical Engineering. An official said that the institute will conduct an internal investigation into the student's death and take steps to prevent such incidents in future. The police have also started investigating the incident.
Dead body found hanging in the room
According to the information, the parents of the deceased had come to meet him and they found him hanging from the noose inside the room on Sunday. According to the officer, when he did not respond even after repeated calls, his parents and the staff of the institute opened the door of the hostel room. According to the information, the body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem.
PG student dies at IIM Bangalore

In the preliminary investigation, his death was said to be due to falling from the hostel. The deceased was a second year student of Post-Graduate Program (PGP) in Management. He was a resident of Surat, Gujarat. IIM Bangalore also issued a statement confirming the death of Nilay.

A brilliant student and a dear friend to many, Nilay will be greatly missed by the entire IIMB family. At this difficult time, we request respect, and privacy for him and his family."
