The National Medical Commission (NMC) has recently released the syllabus of NEET UG 2025. In such a situation, the students preparing are getting confused as to where the questions will come from this time. Let us inform you that the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) has approved this syllabus for the year 2024, in which questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) class 11th and 12th.
Syllabus has been released
Let us inform you that admission can be taken in MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Nursing and other UG medical courses only through NEET UG. The exam date of NEET UG is likely to come soon. In such a situation, the syllabus details have already been released for the exam. According to which, questions will come from class 11th and 12th from PCB in NEET UG 2025. That is, questions will be asked from a total of 79 chapters from both the classes. This time also, questions will not come from important parts of zoology, digestive system and tissue for medical science.
What will be the exam pattern?
The paper for NEET UG will be of total 720 marks and the exam pattern will now be according to the new revised syllabus. One question will be of 4 marks and there will be negative marking of one mark for wrong answer. Out of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, 35 questions will be asked in section A and 15 in section B. Out of these 15, 10 questions will have to be answered. Candidates will have to solve a total of 180 questions out of 200. The paper will be of total 720 marks and 3.20 hours will be given for this exam. The syllabus has been released on the official website neet.nta.nic.in and nmc.org.in.
Why did this change happen?
It is worth noting that last year the NEET UG exam was held on 4 May, after which the result was released on 4 June and then the news of the alleged paper leak spread everywhere. Due to which there was a lot of controversy, then the matter went to the Supreme Court, where the court completely denied the matter of paper leak. Also, NTA was asked to make some changes for the NEET UG exam and asked to form a committee. After this, the committee gave some suggestions which NTA is now considering.
Let us inform you that through NEET UG exam, admission is given in undergraduate courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS and BTS in medical colleges across the country. Currently, 1.10 lakh seats are available for MBBS course in the country.
