Prayagraj: After 12 years, grand preparations are being made for the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. Meanwhile, many fraudsters are also lurking here and are targeting innocent people. These fraudsters are cheating people by creating fake websites for booking cottages, tents, hotels etc. in Maha Kumbh. Prayagraj Police has busted one such cyber fraud gang on Friday. Police has arrested four people of this gang. Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Abhishek Bharti said that three laptops, six Android phones and six ATM cards have been recovered from the arrested people. 

A fake website was created for cheating

He said that during interrogation, the accused admitted that they had created various fake websites with names similar to Maha Kumbh for booking cottages, tents, hotels etc. Through this, they were cyber cheating pilgrims by offering various types of attractive temptations like best accommodation, VIP bath and darshan etc. The Deputy Commissioner of Police said that the arrested people have been identified as Pankaj Kumar (35), resident of Nalanda, Bihar, Yash Choubey (20), resident of Choubepur, Varanasi, Ankit Kumar Gupta (24), resident of Choubepur, Varanasi and Aman Kumar (29), resident of Lasda Khurd, Azamgarh. 

Preparations underway for the grand Maha Kumbh

Special care is being taken to ensure that the saints and devotees coming here do not face any kind of problem. For this, police arrangements have also been made tight. Apart from this, additional trains are also being operated for the devotees to reach Prayagraj Maha Kumbh from all over the country.
