School fees were pending

Police said that Reshma Khatoon of Rajanpur village under Mahisi police station said that her children were being held hostage by a school. Reshma has been educating her two children at Columbus Public School for about 1.5 years and she has been paying the school fees regularly, but this time due to some reason she could not pay the school fees and the school fees increased to 11 thousand. When the school management asked her to pay the fees, Reshma said that she would pay the school fees soon. After this, when the cold increased, she started sending the children in the school vehicle from the month of December.

24 thousand demanded instead of 11

Last Monday, the school manager Mohammad Shabbir kept both the children in the school and did not let them go home. When the children did not return after a long time, a worried Reshma started searching for them. She got the news that the children were in the school and when she reached there with her family members, the school operator and other teachers locked the children in a room and misbehaved with her and her family members and pushed them away. After this, the school manager said to Reshma that now bring 24 thousand rupees, only then will we kill the children. After this Reshma reached Bakhtiyarpur police station and narrated the entire story.

Police were stopped for a long time

After this, the police started taking action by registering a case. Magistrate Zonal Officer Shubham Verma along with Bakhtiyarpur Police Station Inspector Preeti Kumari reached the school with her team, where they found the gate closed and found that the sound of children crying was coming from the school. After this, on the instructions of the magistrate, an attempt was made to open the gate, but the school operator did not open the gate for a long time. When the school gate opened after a long effort, then the school operator Mohd. Shabbir Alam, his wife Shabnam Ara and brother Mohd. Sobir Alam and his wife Soni Khatoon started preventing the police team from coming inside. After a lot of effort, the police reunited the children with their mother.

Police further said that a case has been registered on the written application of the victim and action is being taken against 4 people including the school operator for obstructing government work.
