Indian stock market opened with marginal gains on Thursday but a decline was seen in the early trade. Bombay Stock Exchange's index Sensex was seen trading at 77,892 in the early trade today, with a decline of 0.35 percent i.e. 267 points. In the early trade, out of the 30 stocks of Sensex, 5 stocks were seen trading in the green and 25 stocks were seen trading in the red. Whereas, National Stock Exchange's index Nifty was seen trading at 23,605 in the early trade, with a decline of 0.35 percent i.e. 83 points. Out of the 50 stocks of Nifty, 11 stocks were seen trading in the green, 37 stocks in the red and 3 stocks were seen trading without any loss.

Condition of Nifty shares

The biggest gain in Nifty stocks today was seen in Kotak Bank (1.71%), Hindalco (1.56%), Bajaj Auto (1.09%), Mahindra & Mahindra (0.54%) and TCS (0.37%). On the other hand, the biggest loser was seen in Larsen & Toubro (1.58%), Tata Motors (1.40%), Trent (1.38%), Apollo Hospital (1.22%) and ONGC (1.17%).

Status of sectoral indices

Talking about sectoral indices, the biggest decline was seen in Nifty Realty by 1.20 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Bank fell by 0.25 percent, Nifty Auto by 0.36 percent, Nifty Financial Services by 0.43 percent, Nifty IT by 0.17 percent, Nifty Metal by 0.48 percent, Nifty Pharma by 0.57 percent, Nifty PSU Bank by 0.19 percent, Nifty Healthcare Index by 0.66 percent, Nifty Consumer Durables by 0.90 percent, Nifty Oil & Gas by 0.56 percent, Nifty Midsmall Healthcare by 0.58 percent, Nifty Financial Services Ex-Bank by 0.53 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Private Bank rose by 0.03 percent, Nifty Media by 1.25 percent and Nifty FMCG by 0.06 percent.
