In his condolence message, he said, "The earthquake has tragically killed many people, injured many people and caused extensive damage to homes and properties." He said, "I pray for those who have lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery to those who have been injured." The Dalai Lama has been living in exile in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh for several decades.
