The dense fog in North India has slowed down the speed of trains considerably. Due to this a large number of trains are running late. On Saturday 49 trains leaving from and coming to Delhi are running late due to dense fog. Most of the trains are running late by three to six hours. Due to this the timings of 10 trains have been rescheduled. Dense fog was also seen in the capital Delhi on Friday. Due to heavy fog for two consecutive days trains are not able to transport passengers on time. On Friday Vande Bharat going from New Delhi to Banaras was run at 9 pm instead of 3 pm. Similarly many Rajdhani trains also left with a delay of several hours.
Mahabodhi Express is 6 and a half hours late
The most delayed train is Mahabodhi Express (12397). It is running 6 and a half hours late. Lichchavi Express is running 1 hour late. Sampoorna Kranti Express (12393) is 3 hours late. New Delhi Duronto Express is 3 and a half hours late. Shramik Shakti Express (12451) is running 4 hours late. Ranikhet Express is 2 and a half hours late. Farakka Express is 5 hours late. New Delhi Rajdhani Express (12301) is running 2 hours late and Mussoorie Express (14042) is running 1 hour late.
Visibility less than 50 in Delhi-NCR
It is very cold in Delhi-NCR at this time. Visibility has dropped to less than 50 meters. People are facing difficulty in driving on the roads. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in Delhi-NCR. According to the Meteorological Department, there is little chance of getting relief from dense fog till Sunday. More than 400 flights are getting delayed at Delhi Airport due to dense fog.
