National News : Preparations are going on in full swing in the opposition alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The Maha Vikas Aghadi will begin brainstorming on seat sharing from tomorrow. Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi will complete talks on seat sharing for the assembly elections next week. At the same time, Congress Legislature Party leader Balasaheb Thorat took a dig at the ruling Mahayuti. He said that the Mahayuti should start discussions on deciding the Leader of the Opposition.

Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole said that the leaders of the MVA alliance of Shiv Sena Uddhav, Congress and NCP Sharad will meet on September 30 and October 1 to finalize the seat sharing formula. He said that we are going to contest the elections as MVA. There is no difference of opinion regarding seat sharing. Our talks are going on.

Attacking the ruling Mahayuti, he said, do they even have a chief ministerial face? Regarding the Badlapur sexual harassment case, Patole said that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should not do politics on the encounter of accused Akshay Shinde on September 23. No action has been taken against the school management in the case. He also said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi is not opposing the Ladki Behan Yojana. When we come to power, we will make it better.

Mahavikas Aghadi will win more than 180 seats: Thorat
Congress Legislature Party leader Balasaheb Thorat said the ruling Mahayuti alliance should discuss who it will choose as the Leader of Opposition (LOP) after the Maharashtra Assembly elections. He said the Mahavikas Aghadi will win more than 180 seats. He said once we get a majority, we will unanimously decide on the CM candidate. The Mahayuti parties should start deciding who will be the Leader of the Opposition. He said the concept of one nation-one election looks good on paper, but it is not possible. If that were the case, the government would have held Maharashtra elections along with Haryana elections and would not have taken another month to campaign with taxpayers' money. He said winnability is the only criterion for seat sharing and the MVA will fight unitedly and succeed.
