There is news of lathi charge on BPSC candidates who had come to gherao Bihar Public Service Commission. BPSC candidates had come to gherao the commission demanding cancellation of the exam. Let us tell you that for the past few days these candidates were protesting at the protest site Gardanibagh demanding cancellation of the exam. Today these candidates reached to gherao the BPSC office, where they were lathi charged.
A candidate said, "We are not miscreants, but we have been beaten up. We demand that BPSC listen to and fulfil our demands. Today, a candidate has committed suicide. We are angry about this, yet we went to BPSC... no one is listening to us and the police are beating us."
We just wanted to put forward our demands peacefully'
Another candidate said, "We just wanted to peacefully put forward our demands (before the BPSC), but the police started lathi-charging us. We have been protesting for the last 8 days."
BPSC chairman refused to cancel the exam
Let us tell you that Bihar Public Service Commission i.e. BPSC Chairman Parmar Ravi Manubhai has refused to cancel the 70th Integrated Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 held earlier this month. This exam is surrounded by controversies due to allegations of paper leak. However, Manubhai made it clear that the commission is going to conduct re-examination of those candidates who were allotted Bapu Examination Complex Center on December 13 and said that the re-examination will be held on January 4, 2025.
The commission issued show cause notices to 34 candidates
The commission has also issued show cause notices to 34 candidates who were allegedly involved in creating disturbance at the Bapu examination center on December 13. The BPSC chairman said that all 34 students have been asked to respond to the show cause notices by December 26.
