National News : The Odisha government on Sunday made a major reshuffle in the state's police ranks. According to a notification, more than 55 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers have been transferred. These include Superintendents of Police (SPs) of 21 districts. 

According to the notification, senior IPS officer of 1988 batch A.K. Ray has been appointed as Director General (Prisons and Correctional Services). While Vinaytosh Mishra of 1993 batch has been made Additional Director General of Police (Crime Branch). At the same time, R.P. Koche has been made the new Director of Intelligence. While Arun Bothra has been appointed as Additional Director General (Railway and Coastal Security) and Soumyendra Kumar Priyadarshi has been appointed as the new Director General (Modernization).  
 
Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Sanjeev Panda has been appointed Additional Director General (Training) and Biju Patnaik has been appointed Director of the State Police Academy. Sushil Dev Dutta Singh has been appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack. 

Sanjay Kumar Kaushal has been appointed as the new IG (Vigilance Organization). While Deepak Kumar has been made IG (Fire Services and Home Guards) and J.N. Pankaj has been made IG (Operations).

According to another notification, the government has appointed Pinak Mishra as the new DCP of Bhubaneswar. He will replace Pratik Singh. Jagmohan Mena has been made the DCP of Cuttack. Mena was currently the SP of Ganjam. Loganayagi Divya has been appointed the SP of Vigilance.
