New Delhi: Leaving behind the year 2024, the new year 2025 has begun. As soon as the clock struck 12 at night, people got immersed in celebrations. There was tremendous fireworks at many places. From Kashmir to Kanyakumar, people left no stone unturned to bid farewell to 2024 and welcome 2025. At the same time, as soon as the morning came, people started flocking to the temples. A special aarti was performed at Mahakal in Ujjain early today on the first morning of the new year. A large number of devotees participated in this aarti. At the Banke Bihari temple in Mathura, a long queue of devotees is seen since morning.
There is a long queue of devotees since morning at Jhandewalan temple in Delhi. People are reaching to seek blessings of Mata Rani on the first day of the new year. The first day of the new year also started with a special aarti at Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai. A large number of devotees participated in the aarti of Lord Ganesha. Special prayers are also being offered at Ram temple in Ayodhya.\
On the other hand, there is a huge crowd of devotees in the Golden Temple of Amritsar since midnight. Apart from paying obeisance in the Gurudwara, devotees were also seen taking bath in the holy pond here. In Varanasi too, a special Ganga Aarti was performed on the banks of the Ganga Ghat on the occasion of New Year. A large number of devotees from the country and abroad participated in this Aarti. Apart from these, a large number of devotees also reached Sai Temple in Shirdi, Jagannath Temple in Puri and Thiruvananthapuram and had darshan and worshiped their deity.
On the first day of the new year, a large number of devotees are reaching the Mata Vaishno Devi temple for darshan. A large number of devotees also gathered for worship at the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati. A large number of devotees also reached the Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula, Haryana for darshan.
