Business: Reliance Industries, the country's largest private company, has announced its quarterly results for the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25 (July-September). The company's revenue from operations in the second quarter was Rs 2.35 lakh crore. While the company's net profit in this quarter was Rs 16,563 crore, which is 5 per cent less than the net profit of Rs 17,394 crore in the same quarter last year. But the profit of Rs 15,138 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year (April to June quarter) is 9.4 per cent more than the profit of Rs 15,138 crore.
Digital Services-Great Growth in Upstream Business
Giving information about the results in the regulatory filing, Reliance Industries said that the company's revenue was Rs 2.35 lakh crore, while in the first quarter the company's revenue was Rs 236,217 crore. On the results, Chairman Mukesh Ambani said, our excellent performance has been seen due to excellent growth in digital services and upstream business. This has helped to compensate for the weak performance of the oil to chemicals business due to global demand-supply dynamics.
ARPU increased by 7.4 percent
Reliance Jio told the telecom business that the average revenue per user has increased by 7.4 percent to Rs 195.1. The company said that the full impact of the tariff hike will be seen in the next 2-3 quarters. The number of Jio's 5G subscribers has reached 148 million.
Reliance Retail's revenue stood at Rs 76302 crore
The gross revenue of the group's retail company Reliance Retail Ventures Limited stood at Rs 76,302 crore in the second quarter as against Rs 77,148 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. The company's profit stood at Rs 2836 crore as against Rs 2800 crore in the same quarter a year ago. The company said that the quarterly EBITDA stood at Rs 5850 crore as against Rs 5830 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. Footfall across all formats stood at 297 million (29.7 crore) while 464 new stores were opened.
