Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final merit list of Combined Defense Service (CDS) 1 exam. In this, the names of 590 candidates have been shortlisted. Candidates who are going to appear in this exam can check the official merit list by visiting the official website upsc.gov.in. The names of 590 candidates have been shortlisted in this list.
590 candidates got selected
These 590 shortlisted candidates have been selected for Officer Training Academy (OTA) Chennai. These include 470 male and 120 female candidates. All of them have to join the 121st Short Service Commission Course (Men) and 35th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in April 2025. To download the UPSC CDS 1 Final Merit List 2024, candidates have to use their login credentials like registration number and date of birth.
What was said in the notice?
The official notification said, “The list of 121st Short Service Commission (Male) (NT) (UPSC) Course also includes the names of some candidates who were earlier recommended for admission to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course on the basis of the result of the same examination.”
Medical not included
According to UPSC, the result of the medical examination of the candidates has not been included in the preparation of UPSC CDS 2024 merit list. The candidature of all the candidates is provisional. The date of birth and qualification of these candidates will be verified by the Army Headquarters.
Candidates can also get information about the result by visiting the UPSC website https://www.upsc.gov.in . However, the marks of the candidates will be available on the commission's website for 30 days within 15 days from the date of declaration of the final result. Apart from this, it will play an important role in finalizing the eligibility of the candidates. The successful candidates will have to undergo rigorous training at OTA, Chennai, which will prepare them for their responsibilities as officers in the Indian Armed Forces.
