Kumbh Mela 2025:  A special langar service will be organized in the Maha Kumbh Mela to be held from Makar Sankranti to Mahashivratri. This service will be run by the Vidarbha province of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), which will provide food for devotees and saints. Accommodation will be arranged for the saints by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and this langar service will be run there.

Timing of Langar Seva?

The main purpose of this service is to provide food without asking to the devotees who come to Maha Kumbh and to help them in their religious duties. Maha Kumbh Mela will run from 13 January to 27 February. During this time, this langar service will run daily from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. This service will be run by the Service Department, Dharmacharya Sampark Department and Mandir Archak Purohit Aayam Vidarbha Province of Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

Arrangements for 15,000 devotees 

About 15,000 devotees will avail this service every day. The saints and sages who come to the Kumbh Mela will be served food with special respect by making them sit on Chaurang and Pata. This service is important for those lakhs of devotees who come from far and wide to participate in this Maha Kumbh every year.

In Prayagraj on the lines of Ayodhya

Earlier, during the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Prana Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya in 2023, the Vidarbha province of Vishwa Hindu Parishad had organized a month-long langar service in which food was provided to about 20 lakh devotees. It is planned to run this service on the same lines in Prayagraj.

Appeal to donate food items

Maha Kumbh Mela is an important and sacred event of Hinduism, which is held once every 12 years. Crores of devotees take a dip in this fair for their spiritual benefit. This time around 35 crore devotees are expected to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela. Vishwa Hindu Parishad has appealed to the devotees during the organization of Maha Kumbh to donate grains and other food items on this auspicious occasion.
