IIT JAM 2025 Exam Pattern?

Candidates can understand the exam pattern through the points given below. 

• There will be seven subjects in the JAM 2025 exam. 
• This exam will be conducted in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode in English medium. 
• The duration of this examination is three hours. 
• There will be 60 questions in this exam which will be of 100 marks. 
• The paper is divided into three sections: A, B and C
• Section A has 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Section B has 10 Multiple Choice Questions (MSQs) and Section C has 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. 
• For MCQs in this exam, there is negative marking for wrong answers, whereas there is no negative marking in MSQ and NAT.

In this exam, one mark will be awarded for each correct answer of 1 mark question and two marks for each correct answer of 2 mark question. There is no negative marking in Section B and Section C of this exam. However, in Section A, ⅓ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer of 1 mark question, and ⅔ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer of 2 mark question.

Admit card issued

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has released the IIT JAM Admit Card 2025 on the last day i.e. on January 6. All the candidates who will appear in this joint entrance examination can check and download their admit cards from the official website of IIT JAM jam2025.iitd.ac.in.

Candidates who qualify JAM 2025 will be eligible to apply for admission to around 3000 seats in IITs for the academic year 2025-26.
