NTA i.e. National Testing Agency has released the exam schedule for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main 2025) exam. According to this, session 1 exams will be held from 22 January to 30 January. Admit cards for these exams will be issued 3 days in advance and the exam city slip is likely to be released next week. Candidates who are going to appear for session 1 exam should keep an eye on the official website.

NTA said that exam centers will be set up in many cities of the country for this exam. Apart from this, 15 exam centers will also be set up abroad. After the completion of session-1 exam, registration for JEE Main session-2 will start. Let us tell you that session-2 will be organized from 1 to 8 April 2025.

When will the exams be held?

Has there been any change in the exam pattern?

The agency has made some changes in the exam pattern of JEE Main 2025 this year. A revised notification has also been issued for this. According to this, optional questions will not be asked in section B from both Paper-1 and Paper-2. Now the answer to all the questions of section B has also been made compulsory, a total of 5 questions will be asked in it. Also, NTM has also introduced negative marking of -1 in section B of both the papers.

The agency has announced its decision to discontinue optional questions in Section B of JEE Main 2025. These optional questions were introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

what is the new exam pattern

Now, according to the revised pattern of JEE Main 2025, there will be no optional questions in section B. There will be only 5 questions in each subject in JEE Main and students will have to answer all of them, that is, it has become compulsory. JEE Main 2025 syllabus includes three subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. There will be 3 papers in JEE Main exam 2025 - Paper 1 for BTech, BE, Paper 2A for BArch and 2B for BPlan. 75 multiple choice questions will be asked in JEE Main 2025 Paper 1.
