Business: A letter in the name of the country's largest and oldest insurance company Life Insurance Corporation of India is circulating on social media. It is being claimed to be from LIC, in which it is being said that the company's products and insurance policies will be withdrawn on September 30. Actually, in this so-called letter, it has been claimed that LIC is withdrawing all its insurance policies and products on September 30. It wants to revise them. In such a situation, the question arises whether LIC has really issued such a notice. If yes, then what will happen to all the policy holders now.

PIB did a fact check

The Press Information Bureau has done a fact check on this matter and revealed the truth. On the social media platform X, PIB has written that a notice is going viral on social media in the name of LIC. In this notice, it is being claimed that LIC has decided to withdraw all its products and plans for revision on September 30, 2024.

what is written in the letter

In the letter going viral on social media platform X, it is written that all the plans of LIC will be withdrawn on 30 September. After revising them, they will be re-launched on 1 October. It is said in the letter that LIC can re-launch all the policies with some changes. The company can take two to three months to release the new plan. Along with this, plans giving more benefits like Jeevan Anand, Jeevan Umang and Jeevan Utsav etc. can be withdrawn.

Is the letter fake?

This fact check has revealed that this claim being made about LIC is completely fake. Life Insurance Corporation of India has not issued any such letter, which talks about withdrawing all insurance products. All products and plans will continue as before. In such a situation, do not trust any such notice at all.
