Business: The Indian stock market has started on a positive note today and the Sensex-Nifty have opened with gains. At 9.19 am, the BSE index was trading at 82,588. Talking about the sectoral index, bank stocks have seen a rise at the time of opening of the Nifty sectoral index this morning.

The BSE Sensex opened at 82,725.28 with a gain of 359.51 points or 0.44 percent. At the same time, the NSE Nifty opened at 25,333.60 at the time of opening and saw a gain of 97.70 points or 0.39 percent.
