Education: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) may issue notification on 27th August for recruitment to GD constable posts in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and NIA and others. The notification will be issued online on SSC's official website ssc.gov.in. Along with the notification, SSC will also start the application process for this recruitment, after which candidates will be able to complete the application process online within the stipulated dates.
Important Dates for Recruitment
The tentative dates for Constables (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2025 recruitment have been given on the SSC website.

- Starting date of application: 27 August 2024
- Last date to fill the application form: 5 October 2024
- Exam Date: January – February 2025
Eligibility and Criteria
To join SSC GD Recruitment 2025, it is mandatory for the candidates to have passed 10th/Matriculation from a recognized board/institute. Along with this, the minimum age of the candidate should not be more than 18 years and maximum age should not be more than 23 years as on the prescribed cutoff date. ST/SC category will be given relaxation in upper age by 5 years, OBC by 3 years.
Physical Ability
Apart from educational qualification, the minimum height of male candidates to participate in the recruitment should be 170 cm. The minimum height for female candidates has been fixed at 157 cm. The height has been fixed differently for candidates coming from Scheduled Tribes, North Eastern States and other reserved areas.
