Students going to do MBBS, if you are going to do this course from any medical college in Punjab, then you should know that the burden on your or your parents' pocket has increased. The Medical Education and Research Department of Punjab has issued a notification. According to the notification, MBBS fees have been increased for all state government and private medical colleges of the state.

The percentage increase

In the official notification, it was said that to regulate MBBS admissions in all government and private medical colleges in Punjab, medical fees have been increased by 5%. It was also said that admissions would be made on 1550 seats in Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, out of which 750 seats are in 4 medical colleges of the state, and 800 seats are in 4 private and two minority states medical institutes. How many medical colleges have fees now?

According to the notification, the MBBS fee has been increased to Rs 9.50 lakh in 4 Amritsar, Faridkot, Patiala and Mohali medical colleges. Earlier the, the fee here was Rs 9.05 lakh. The total cost of the MBBS course for all management quota seats in private medical colleges has been increased to Rs 58.02 lakh, which was Rs 55.28 lakh earlier. At the same time, the fee for all MBBS seats in the government quota in all private medical colleges in the state has been increased to Rs 22.54 lakh, which was Rs 21.48 lakh earlier.
