Why is 'Bharat Bandh' being done?

Recently, the Supreme Court in one of its decisions had allowed the state governments to create different categories among the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. The court had said in its order that the needy should get the maximum benefit of reservation. In such a situation, the National Confederation of Dalit and Tribal Organizations (NACDAOR) has announced a 'Bharat Bandh' against this decision. Along with this, many other organizations have supported this bandh. The organizations are calling this decision against the constitutional rights of Dalits and tribals. Along with this, a demand is being made to the court to withdraw this decision.
