New Delhi: The national capital, Delhi, and many areas around it received light rain on Saturday morning. The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain, thundershowers and cloudy weather in Delhi till August 11. Delhi-NCR received rain during the last 24 hours. Due to this, waterlogging was also seen at many places.

Heavy rain warning in these states till August 15

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and eastern Rajasthan today and tomorrow. Haryana, Punjab, and Chandigarh may receive heavy rain today. This week, there may be sporadic to heavy rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, and western Rajasthan. Heavy rain will continue till August 15 at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Goa. 

There will be heavy rain here today and tomorrow

  According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at different places in Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya today i.e. 10th August. Heavy rain warning has also been issued for Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Gangetic plains of West Bengal from 10th and 13th-15th August.

 Danger of landslides in Himachal-Uttarakhand

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for August 10 and 11. There is a possibility of landslides and flash floods at some places, with strong winds and waterlogging in low-lying areas causing damage to gardens, crops, weak structures and kutcha houses.

Rainy season will continue in Rajasthan

Continuous rain continues in many parts of Rajasthan where Dausa and Bharatpur districts received extremely heavy rain during the last 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Center, rain and thundershowers are likely to continue in many parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next five to seven days.
