New Delhi: Heavy rains have affected normal life in many states including Tripura, Manipur and Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rains may occur in eastern and western Uttar Pradesh, western Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Haryana-Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh during August 23 to 25. Heavy rains are expected at some places.

Strong winds will blow here, there will be heavy rain

 Rainfall activity will continue over South India as well. Heavy rains are expected over Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe during the next 24 hours. Strong winds with speed of 50-60 kmph are likely over Kerala and Lakshadweep Islands during the next 24 hours, which may increase to 70 kmph.

How will be the weather of Rajasthan

The spell of rain continues in Rajasthan where heavy rain was recorded in four districts including Kota and Ajmer in the last 24 hours. Moderate to sometimes heavy rain with thundershowers is likely in some parts of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur divisions. There is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in the districts of Kota, Udaipur, Jaipur divisions in the next 4-5 days. At the same time, heavy rain activities are likely to increase during 25-26 August and very heavy rain is likely at some places in some parts of Kota, Udaipur divisions of southern and eastern Rajasthan.

Similarly, in some parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of western Rajasthan, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thundershowers for the next one or two days. During 24 to 26 August, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in some parts of Jodhpur division. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain at sporadic places in some parts of Bikaner division.
