National:  19 more people died due to heavy rains in Gujarat. With this, the death toll in the last three days has increased to 30. 17,800 people have been evacuated from flood-affected areas to safer places. Heavy rains occurred in some areas of the state on Wednesday as well.

Delhi-NCR flooded with rain water

The weather in Delhi-NCR had worsened since Wednesday evening. On the other hand, continuous rain has been going on since Thursday night. There is a lot of waterlogging in many places. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain for the next few days.

Indian Air Force is helping in Gujarat

The administration is carrying out relief and rescue operations with the help of NDRF, SDRF, Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Coast Guard. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to take stock of the situation.

Heavy rain warning issued

The weather department has issued a heavy rain warning for the next five days. On Thursday, a red alert has been issued in 11 districts and a yellow alert in 22 districts. Those who died are from Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Panchmahal, Aravalli, Dang, Surendranagar, Dahod, Kheda, Bharuch, Anand, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Gandhinagar and Morbi.

Gujarat CM spoke to PM Modi

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel held a high-level meeting at the Disaster Control Room in Gandhinagar for the third consecutive day and took stock of the situation from the District Officer, Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Development Officers.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel gave information about the conversation with PM Modi on the internet media platform X. CM Patel said that he talked to PM Modi over the phone about the current situation due to heavy rains in Gujarat.

Rivers are flowing above the danger mark

He took stock of the relief and rescue operations. The Chief Minister further said that PM Modi has assured all possible help from the Centre. Flooding in Vishwamitri river inundated many low-lying areas of Vadodara. 137 reservoirs and lakes and 24 rivers are flowing above the danger mark.

Due to heavy rains, waterlogging occurred on roads and railway lines, due to which eight trains including Mumbai-bound Vande Bharat Express have been cancelled.
