National:  In the wake of various sexual harassment allegations levelled against several members of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) in Kerala, all its office bearers, including its president and top actor Mohanlal, resigned from their posts on Tuesday.

In a statement, the association said the current administrative panel had resigned, taking moral responsibility for the allegations.

A meeting will be called within two months

It said that a general body meeting would be called to elect a new administrative panel within two months. The statement said that the association also thanked everyone for criticising and correcting them.

These days, actresses are accusing directors and makers of sexual harassment as well as fees. Actors Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nani have reacted on this matter and criticized AMMA.
