'Kill him and I will give my land' BJP spokesperson in Manipur receives death threat, CM expresses concern:

National: The house of BJP spokesperson and Thadou community leader Michael Lamjathang Haokip in Manipur was recently attacked. About two dozen people are accused of burning a part of his house and firing bullets in the air. Michael Lamjathang Haokip has also filed an FIR in this matter. In the FIR, he has held 15 people responsible for attacking his family.

Michael Lamjanthang receives death threats

The BJP spokesperson further alleged that two men had asked some people to kill him. In the FIR, the BJP spokesperson said that the person who kills him was promised village land. Michael Lamzathang Haokip has also presented alleged screenshots of WhatsApp group chats in which some people said, "I promise that if anyone kills Lamzathang, I will give my village land."
