MP Weather Update: Due to heavy rains in Orai, Madhya Pradesh, rivers and streams are overflowing. After heavy rains, life has been disrupted in many cities of Madhya Pradesh. The gates of Bhadbhada Kaliyasot have been opened in the capital Bhopal. 

On the other hand, the Shipra river is in spate in Ujjain. Indore and Shahdol have also received torrential rains, due to which schools here were closed today (Saturday, 24 August).

Monsoon has once again shown its ferocity in Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rains have been falling in many cities of Madhya Pradesh since Friday (23 August). Due to heavy rains in Bhopal, one gate of Bhadbhada Dam was opened last night. After this, three more gates had to be opened. 

Similarly, due to rising water level, a gate of Kaliyasot Dam has also been opened. Due to heavy rains in Indore, Shipra river in Ujjain has also overflowed. Temples on the ghats of Shipra river have submerged. 

Indore Collector Ashish Singh and Shahdol district administration have ordered a holiday in schools in view of the heavy rains. Meanwhile, five gates of the Tawa river have been opened in Narmadapuram. 


Orange alert issued by the Meteorological Department regarding heavy rains in many districts of MP . Madhya Pradesh has received 10 percent more rain than normal in this monsoon season. This figure is going to go up even more as the rain continues once again.

There are chances of heavy rain for three-four days.
The weather department had already announced about heavy rain in many districts of Madhya Pradesh. Officials of the weather department say that the series of heavy rains is going to continue in the coming three-four days. According to the weather department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many districts of Ujjain, Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur division. 

There will be heavy rain in these districts 
. The Meteorological Department has declared an orange alert regarding heavy rain in many districts of Madhya Pradesh. Meteorological Department officials say that there may be heavy rain in Sidhi, Singrauli, Mandla, Dindori, Jabalpur, Katni, Harda, Shajapur, Agar Malwa, Guna, Shivpuri. Light to moderate rain has been indicated in most of the districts of the state.
