National: Land survey work is going on in Bihar since 20th August. The Revenue and Land Reforms Department claims that very soon the land survey work will be done with transparency in the entire Bihar. After this, the disputes that are happening every day regarding land will end, but 2 days ago, Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar and Land Survey Secretary Jai Singh reviewed the land survey work by holding a meeting with all the District Settlement Officers, in which it was found that the survey work is going on at a slow pace in all the districts except Rohtas. What is the reason? And why is the survey work not speeding up?

When ABP News investigated this through a ground report, it was found that negligence is being witnessed on the part of employees and officials up to the block level.

Big claim on the government regarding Gram Sabha

In Bihar, land survey work is being done in about 43,000 mauzas in rural areas. It has to be started by first conducting a Gram Sabha in which the Panchayat representative has to be present along with Amin and Kanungo in this Gram Sabha. It has been claimed that Gram Sabha has been conducted in about 35,000 mauzas. Let us tell you that under the Gram Sabha, the villagers have to be told how the land survey will be done, what documents they have to keep and what to keep as an alternative if the documents are not available. They have to tell all these things to the villagers in the Gram Sabha, but the big thing is that till now most of the people do not have complete information about the survey.

Villagers are confused

The ABP News team visited the Fatuha block area of the capital Patna and talked to many public representatives and villagers, in which it was found that there are many such key points regarding the survey on which a situation of doubt and fear has arisen among the villagers. Virendra Singh, a representative of Alavalpur village, said that in our area there is a lot of competition about the genealogy. Many people are saying that they have to make the genealogy on paper themselves and get it signed by the Panchayat Secretary or Sarpanch. While many people are going through a complicated process to make it and are not able to make it on time, due to which there is a problem in conducting the survey.

The chief told the whole situation

Randhir Kumar, a Mukhiya of Mominpur Panchayat, said that the work of the government is very good, but the way Amin, Kanungo, Settlement Officer are working, the dream of the state government regarding land survey may fail somewhere. The officers are working arbitrarily. Amin has to look after this work, but the mobile numbers of Amin sahab, employees, settlement officer, Kanungo of the block office have been made public, but if you dial anyone's mobile, it will not ring. There is no one to give information.

Further he told that in the name of camp in the block, there is a worker sitting, but he also has no information, he just takes the papers and it is said that Amin will look into it. An Amin should always sit in the office, but he does not sit in the office. In 15 panchayats of Fatuha block, 17 Amins are currently posted for survey. Amin needs to visit village to village so that people can get information about what to do and what documents to give. How will the problems of the people be solved?

The Mukhiya said that if the officials work with awareness even now, then the survey work can be done in a perfect manner. The doubts that have arisen regarding the genealogy need to be publicised and people need to be told how the genealogy can be prepared by themselves. For this, Amin and Kanungo need to go to every village and meet the people, but this is not being done, work is being done only on paper.

There is doubt over whether the government's intentions will be fulfilled!

Most of the people said that the survey work that is going on right now has created a problem among the people and till now people are not able to understand which document has to be given and if that document is not available then what will be its alternative? Neither any officer or any worker is available to tell this. Some people said that this survey work was done earlier also, but it flopped. From the current situation and the way the officials are working, it is clear that it will flop this time too because the government's intention is that there will be transparency due to land survey and land disputes will decrease, but the way the work is being done, there is a possibility of disputes increasing instead of decreasing.
