National: PM Narendra Modi addressed election rallies on Saturday for the upcoming assembly elections in two states (Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir). BJP believes that this will help in breaking the notion that their election campaign has been affected due to rebellion caused by ticket denial.

According to the Indian Express report, a senior BJP leader said that the situation in Haryana is under control, BJP can avoid the wave of farmers' protests to some extent. Defeat in Haryana means another state will go into the hands of the opposition after Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi, where the protests have gained the most strength, BJP has suffered a big setback in UP in the recent Lok Sabha elections.

There are elections in Jammu and Kashmir after the removal of Article 370 and if BJP gets decent numbers here, it will boost its morale, while in Haryana, BJP leaders believe that if there is a defeat in Haryana, it will have far-reaching effects. They also believe that the opposition has gained momentum after the Lok Sabha elections.

Losing Haryana will allow protesters to reach Delhi without any hindrance.
A party leader said, "Protesters from Punjab and Haryana can be stopped at the border before entering Delhi. At the peak of the farmers' movement, it can be prevented from becoming a national movement. Losing Haryana means that opposition-backed protests and demonstrations can reach Delhi without any hindrance."

Haryana is also important in terms of investment.
For BJP, winning Haryana is also important in terms of investment. Along with Noida in UP, Gurugram in Haryana is a rapidly developing area for investment and real estate in North India. While two important centers Hyderabad and Bengaluru are already in Congress-ruled states. BJP leaders say, "If Gurugram also goes to the opposition, it means that all the fast-growing metro cities will go to the opposition."

BJP denies any mistake in ticket distribution
There has been a rebellion in Haryana BJP after the ticket distribution and some leaders have left the party. Party leaders have also raised questions on how the list of candidates was prepared, especially when ticket distribution was the main reason for losing the Lok Sabha elections in UP . However, some people associated with the party say that the rebellion does not mean that the selection of candidates was faulty. A leader said that unprecedented care was shown in making the list, and the interests of all important leaders were accommodated.
