National: The proceedings of the monsoon session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly have been extended for one day. Now the monsoon session of the assembly will run till September 10. Earlier, the monsoon session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly was to end on 9 September i.e. Monday, but now the proceedings of the House have been extended for one day.

There will be 11 meetings tomorrow in the monsoon session of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. It is worth noting that this is the biggest session in the history of Himachal. 10 meetings are already proposed in it. Now after the addition of one meeting, this session has become even bigger.

Parliamentary
Affairs Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan proposed that the meeting be extended by one day. After this, both the ruling and opposition parties agreed. After getting the consent of both, Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania extended the proceedings of the Assembly by one day. On Monday and Tuesday, there will be a discussion on the economic crisis in the state under Rule 130. Members of the ruling and opposition parties will participate in this discussion.

CM Sukhu had also talked about extending the proceedings.
During the start of the proceedings of the ninth day on Friday, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had said that the state government is ready to extend the session for one day. He wants the opposition to bring as many issues as possible in the assembly so that public interest can be discussed.

The Chief Minister also said that this should be done only if the opposition does not walk out on the matter. Now the opposition has also got an extra day to raise issues of public interest. In such a situation, more issues of public interest can be raised.
