National: 25 years after the 1999 Kargil War, Pakistan has accepted its role. On the occasion of Defense Day on Friday, Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir has clearly accepted that Pakistan had a hand in the Kargil War. Kargil War hero martyr Captain Vikram Batra's father GL Batra has reacted to Asim Munir's statement. He said that when he himself is admitting that yes, the Pakistani Army was involved in this, then it becomes clear that whatever atrocities were done on those soldiers, it was done by the Pakistani Army.

'Both the neighbouring countries should live in peace like good neighbours'
GL Batra further said that for 25 years Dr. Kalia's father has been fighting in the International Court of Law with the hope that he will get justice. When the Pakistani Army Chief has accepted that the Pakistani Army was involved in the Kargil war, then if something can be done to give solace to those old parents, then that should be done. What kind of battle of life are the parents of all the martyrs, their widowed wives and children going through. I do not want to repeat this again and again. But, it is a great pain. But, I want that both the neighbouring countries should live in peace like good neighbours. This is the progress of both the countries.

During his address on Defense Day, he said that the Pakistani community is a community of brave people, who understand the importance of freedom and how to pay for it.
