National: The uproar over the death of some candidates during the ongoing physical examination for the recruitment of Excise Constable in Jharkhand is not taking the name of stopping. The opposition is targeting the Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand on this issue. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has announced to postpone the recruitment process for the next three days. Apart from this, he also said that from now on there will be no race after 9 am.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren wrote on his X handle, "The untimely death of the participants during the race in the recruitment process of excise constable is sad and heartbreaking. While directing the immediate review of the rules made by the previous government, we have instructed to make changes in the rules for all future reinstatements of this type, along with this, instructions have also been given to make a proposal to provide immediate relief from the government to the unfortunately affected and bereaved family in this process."

Recruitment process postponed for 3 days
He further wrote, "As a precaution, we have instructed to postpone this recruitment process for the next 3 days. The race will now not be organised after 9 am under any circumstances. There will be adequate arrangement of doctors for those candidates who feel the need for a health check-up before the race and there will be arrangement of breakfast/fruits for the participants at all the competition venues so that no one takes part in the race on an empty stomach."

'Untimely deaths will be reviewed'
CM Soren also wrote, "After all, what are the reasons behind relatively healthy/fit people of our village-society getting injured in the ongoing physical examination, after all what has changed in the health of the general public in the last 3-4 years in the country including Jharkhand? To review the reasons behind the untimely deaths of these youths, so that such mishaps do not take place in future, we have constituted a committee of health experts and have also directed them to give a consultation report."
